Each year the club hosts the best 5k,10k and Half Marathon races. Our courses are flat and fast, superbly organised and perfect for that personal best. Overseeing the races is our experienced Race Director Peter Linden.

We are very pleased to confirm that the 2025 edition of the Newry City Half Marathon/ 10k will take place on Sunday May 25th.

This years event will be bigger and better than ever, we’ve got so many exciting details to share with you but…..all in good time.

Newry City Runners are very pleased to announce that entries to our 2025 Half Marathon and 10k races which take place on Sunday May 25th are officially OPEN!

Apart from wanting to provide a quality, value for money running event with all the bells and whistles that we as runners ourselves would love to see in a race, one of the main reasons we do this is to support some very deserving local charities and the 1st one we’d like to introduce you this year is Action Mental Health Newry And Mourne.

They have been transforming lives and promoting mental wellbeing for years making a huge difference for the better in our community. From counselling to careers guidance and everything in between they have and continue to provide a very valuable service.

Help us support them simply by signing up for either of our races.

The Half Marathon Race is on Sunday 25th May 2025 at 10:00, commencing and finishing on the Albert Basin Road beside the Quays Shopping Centre.

The Half Marathon costs £40, there’s an early bird rate of £38 until March 31st. ANI and AI club members can avail of a further £2 discount.
